The varieties of spherical purple cabbage is hybrid, It grow leaf at first then make the ball, tight ball is not easy to crack, so have a resistance to transport, the harvest period is long, planting is suitable in spring and autumn. Harvest started 80 to 100 days after planting, the single bulb weight 1.5-2.0kg. It usually grow seeding by cold bed in early January in North China and planting at late March, 4000 plants per mu, sowing in late June,planting in late July and can harvest in the end of October.
